Chris Fontanes’s review published on Letterboxd:
The synopsis for this movie says something along the lines of "a spin on the classic haunted house story" and then turns around and gives us (at least for the first 3/4ths) the most generic ol' haunted house movie ever. Complete with flickering lights, creepy sounds from within drains, jump cuts and spectral figures standing around doing nothing. I think the filmmakers thought giving an immigration backstory would help add some depth to an otherwise flat and listless film, but if so, it doesn't work. This is like the Great Value Brand version of The Haunting of Hill House.
