it kind of feels like you’re watching someone play a video game at an arcade. perhaps the message feels a bit heavy handed to modern audiences but i think john carpenter just wanted to be silly 👍 still the lead up to roddy piper finding the glasses is great and very tense. enjoyed it as a wrestling fan 👍

i had absolutely no interest in this movie when it first came out but i recently found out it takes place in the 80s so i had to watch it. idk what that says about me do what you will with that information. but i actually quite liked it! lovely horror romance. reminded me a bit of near dark and another movie i watched recently, the addiction. ending is silly tho
