Top five of the year for me. Can’t wait to see this again next week.
I’m fine if people want to recycle elements from other films if they have something new to say or a different angle they want to explore… But how is this not a blatant rip off of The Talented Mr. Ripley?

This simmered but never boiled for me. The violence, the weirdness, the performances, the emotion, the photography… all simmered but didn’t boil. Don’t get me wrong, it was all very hot. But I have to admit it didn’t burn my face off like I wanted it too.
Saw this at the WGA theater with a Q&A with Steven and Tony Kushner afterward. A pretty incredible experience. Some highlights of what they said:
