Will Walker’s review published on Letterboxd:
Man, Max Thieriot would have made a perfect Spider-Man. You can honestly watch this as his audition tape for Peter Parker and triple your enjoyment factor (Especially the California Condor scene.)
Anyways, the film kills off its characters way too fast without developing them and some of the dialogue does get hilariously edgy (“Fuck your unborn children. Now where’d I leave your bitch?”), but the performances are great across the board and it’s a nice little allegory for Craven’s struggle to adapt the the shifting tastes of his fanbase across the decades.
