    Candy 2022

I like biel’s acting in here it reminds me enchanced version for what she did in The Sinner season 1. The 80s setting is also eye-catching with a great cinematography and so does the wardrobe, but I hate the wig department because betty’s hair reminds me lord farquaad. But in such fitting the length of episode i found it very stretched out a little bit for the backstory, i feel like it’s not satisfied enough for this kind a real event of true crime. Overall it’s still good for this Candy Montgomery Hulu version, now let’s see for the HBO rendition soon.

Holy shit! This was a tough and brutal watch. Every Korean movie I see ends up being 5 stars for me, they really know how to make fucked up and great movies.  Watched this with my dad…lmao probably not the best movie to watch with family but we both really liked it.

BTW STRANGER THINGS SEASON 4 IS AMAZING!!! @Netflix @TheDufferBrothers I’m going to need VOL 2 and the final season like RIGHT NOW!

In this beautifully calming trip through memory lane, the film gently caresses with its introspective mood of somber nature.

It asks about how the digital world reshapes human progress as we co-evolve with advanced technologies we ourselves create. Kogonada seeks to put us into the perspective that after technosapien Yang, what's left to keep the family culture growing and formed relationships going, all the while connecting us to why, as Jake put it, "his existence mattered, not just to us…

Here is a man who wants to blend in with the crowd yet lives a life of isolation. Here is a man who appears to be charming at first but is actually a lonesome guy who wanders around the filthy streets at night. Here is a man who sees the flaw in the system thus seeking to do something about it. Here is a man who stood up but is viewed as someone troubled or deranged.

This made me extremely uncomfortable and frustrated. JLaw was so good in here that she shares that sense of confusion with the viewer more and more. In technical terms, it's undeniably brilliant with its tight camera shots and indicative sound design that hardly misses what it intends to depict. What starts off as a baleful, restrained silence suddenly descends into complete chaos from the upside down, suggesting this the cruel "sound of humanity". The sound of lif—err, okay.

mother! (2017) is one artsy medium (clap, clap for the mirrored bookending) whose allegorical horrors are meant to be divisive—I say disoriented tangle.
