Solo: A Star Wars Story ★★★★

Good action and cinematography, decent to good acting - no offense to Donald Glover... but he plays Donald Glover in this movie, not Lando, and Emilia Clarke just didn't feel like she fit in this movie at all. And while the story felt like it was trying a little bit too hard to make Han and Lando's budding friendship a thing... it was an enjoyable film, and you get to see early Chewie / Han interactions. All good.

I'm just very sad that the way this movie has bombed at the box office most likely means we will never get to see a sequel. I liked what was shown here, and what was hinted at in the final minutes of the film.

I do have questions regarding Woody Harrelson's character: very distracting, take-me-out-of-the movie questions.

1: Why does he have such a normal, Earth name - Tobias Beckett?
2: Why does he sound like your average American cowboy?
3: WHY DOES HE ASK FOR WHISKY, AN EARTH DRINK?

Earth doesn't exist in SW canon. So why are these a thing? That's the main issue I had with the movie. His character. That's it! Oy.
