I finally watched this.
Hereditary was one of my favorite films of 2018, so I was really excited to see Aster’s new film. And I’m so glad he didn’t disappoint.
The editing, the cinematography, even the production design are fantastic. Aster seems to be getting even better as a director. However, I found the script to be noot as good as Hereditary’s. Florence Pugh was also phenomenal, but she’s no Toni Collette.
Anyway; what a fucked up film. I’ll probably change this score to a 4.5 eventually, this is my favorite film of the year so far. Then again, I’ve barely seen any of the good ones.
