  I read the book a long time ago and what I thought was the best part was Meg's inner world, which I think they did a good job of translating to movie language. That said, they could've just cast drag queens as the Misses. In the book they're whimsical shapeshifters, not weird ladies who just stand there in gowns.

  Ok, HOW did these not-insanely-rich college students just go "sure, lets fly to Greece on a whim" in the middle of the 2008 financial crisis? Not that I'm asking a movie about magical pants for realism, but COME ON.
