Bold and beautiful.
Unsettling and cerebral science fiction that we need more of these days. Unfortunately it is held back by some poor dialogue and shallow characters.
This film struggles in tone, in both writing and visual aspects. At times the visuals cease to appear cinematic, and appear as that of a Game of thrones style limited series. That could be because of the Netflix format, or the camera that was used. I couldn’t imagine watching this on the big screen.
The writing leaves a lot to be desired, and I think this story would have benefited greatly if it had been a 10 - 12 episode…
