Freddie Lee’s review published on Letterboxd:
Very solid comedy that had me laughing almost all the way through. Would be a 3.5 / 5.
The plot and CGI were weak but ignoring those factors, this was a lot of fun.
For me, the first half was a little bit better than the second but both were enjoyable. This would be a good companion piece with Edgar Wright's The Worlds End (both came out in 2013) as they're both good late night comedy films.
Jonah Hill was great in this. I loved how the actors played very over-the-top versions of themselves, not cliche characters, it was a nice change to your average American comedy.
Very fun and close to 4 stars.
