I'm a little torn with this one, I enjoyed it but if I'm honest, I am somewhat underwhelmed.

There were certainly bits I loved. Everything between Kylo Ren and Rey was fascinating and in particular, their scene in the throne room which was spectacular. Adam Driver's and Daisy Ridley's performances were definitely one of the highlights of the film for me.

It's dark, it's bleak, it's grim, and it packs so many emotional punches, all in the space of it's 2 and a half hour runtime, which might actually be my favourite blockbuster of the year so far.

Andy Serkis is once again magnificent as Caesar, but his community of Apes wouldn't be complete without the…
