If Disney is gonna keep funneling money into doing remakes, the least they could do is also do theatrical re-releases of the classics. This movie is gobsmacking on a big screen. The detail!!! You can see why it took six years to make. From an artistic standpoint, every single second is just stunning and demands to be seen on a big screen. It still fills me with wonder - how’d they animate the musical sequences which accompany the fairies’ gifts? How did they animate the sparkles on the fairies? How did they get the translucent effect of their wings?! (Each with their corresponding color, which I’m not sure I’d noticed before.) Every frame represents a labor of love.
