If not for the length really stretching itself along the second half, this would have been a 5-star entry. Nevertheless, A Sun is an incredible achievement in storytelling with excellent performances from the whole cast, a brilliant script, and a lot more depth than even I was prepared for it to have. It weaves in and out of different genres mostly very well, never getting boring or uninteresting, even if the length can be felt by film's end. There's one stretch of the movie that doesn't quite feel like it fits with the rest based on how it's shot, scored, and acted, but it does all come back around, so I can forgive the film a little detour. This is absolutely one of the best films of 2020 (stay tuned to see if it makes the Top 15), and should not be missed.
