If you not have been in the magic world of Tolkien, this movie will not appeal to you. I have been there, through books and movies and I have always considered that Tolkien is the forenost writer of all time to create a story. He has been a formative figure for me and this movie hit me right in the heart.
It’s extremely difficult to judge this movie for obvious reasons. My feeling is that it is done with dignity and respect, although it does not stand out much as a movie except that the entire movie is one single shot which is very impressive. Andrea Berntzen, which leads us through this unreachable tragedy, her performance is outstanding.
