Rewatched (for a… fourth time, officially, I think?) while doing a quality check of my own personal subtitles for this show – an original translation I've been working on for hundreds of hours total over the course of two years, with comprehensive typesetting that strives to follow the style & spirit of both the show itself and the original manga paneling to which it pays near-constant homage. It's 99% done.
Every time through I catch more and more small stuff. This time: Peco's shadow as the hero right before the title card in episode 10. Taiyo Matsumoto and Masaaki Yuasa – especially together – are nothing short of genius.
I'm going to watch this with my younger sister next month over her spring break and I cannot wait.
