Impacted me so profoundly in a way I can’t really explain or wholly understand myself, which is always the best way to feel coming out of a film. Dustin Hoffmann’s performance is an immediate all-time favorite. You can’t search for the sunlight and coconut in your life without coming to terms with what’s in front of and inside you, or else it will eat you alive.

Few films take advantage of being a visual and auditory medium quite like this one. I turned this on because it sounded silly and fun (which it is!) but it’s also just casually… kind of perfect? Some of the best filmmaking I’ve ever seen? How the hell did they pull this off!!!! god I love movies
