On this re-watch the meaning of the film became prevalent. The House That Jack Built is all about pretension. Jack is an exaggerated version of a pretentious artist that insists that his "art" is great and for the betterment of mankind. His art is really meaningless murder. He disguises his murder with the cloak of artistry. Jack cannot even complete the house the film is named after because of the consumption of his person by his "art" (Murder) .
