  so incredible to watch something as strong and intimidating as a volcano be shown in such a soft and gentle way as it is in their footage. their footage of each other was also quite incredible to watch. it’s so special to see someone that you love being so passionate and involved in something that they love, and being able to catch that on film and share it is really something, especially the clip of katia with her face up against volcanic rock while she runs her fingers along it. it reminds me of some of the tender moments in varda's documentary about demy.

  woke up on the wrong side of the bed today, watching one of my favorite movies to hopefully put me to sleep on the right side of it. picked a horror to kick off the best month of the year!
  i think the blend of a simple story and soundtrack  with vivid visuals just makes this so perfect.

  it would have been fun if kyle mclaughlin had a cameo in this. i think i rated it lower than i am rating this, but i honestly think i prefer the original movie. it is bad enough that it is charming and fun, while in my opinion this is just flat and kind of boring.
