Went into this horror-thriller blind having never heard of it when it was first released or in the time since. Not sure if that has to do with my general avoidance of Kevin Costner movies or if because this film came out with little fanfare. Regardless, I went back and forth between giving this 2 1/2 or 3 stars. It's much better than what the people who bash it say. Then again, there's not a lot of originality here. What it has the most is atmosphere, so if you can hang with movies solely on the mood they build, then maybe give it a try. P.S. The ending is hate it or love it.
