"The D is silent."
It's hard to pinpoint exactly what it is that makes Django Unchained slowly lose my admiration, but one thing about the film that just gets worse every time I see it is the conflicting tones of splatter Blaxploitation revenge fetishism and the touching love story/tragedy that Tarantino keeps hinting at.
Regardless, the highs are very high; and those Snap-zooms are just gorgeous. I'm so ready for Hollywood.
