Once Upon a Time… in Hollywood

Once Upon a Time… in Hollywood ★★★★★

This is possibly my fave Tarantino-

The acting in this movie is phenomenal. Almost all of Leo's scenes captivated me from start to finish, especially his anger woe near the middle. Brad's charm and wit makes his character so likeable although he's most likely a psycho.
Margot's lack of lines is indeed annoying, but she's never looked as gorgeous as she does playing Sharon Tate. There are so many of these young actors I want more of and hope they blow up following this, notably Austin Butler & Margaret Qualley.

Cinematography-wise, this was incredible. There's so many times I wish I could've paused and taken a screenshot of the theatre screen but alas I couldn't. Robert Richardson (cinematography), Barbara Ling (prod design) & Arianne Phillips (costume design) all need to win Oscars, hands down. I've never wanted to live in the 60s as bad as I did in these past three hours.

All in all, this was an incredible movie, which I'm looking forward to rewatching soon. I laughed, was spooked, and thoroughly enjoyed myself and it throughout. Was it a little long at times? Yes, but it was perfect for character development.

Last note, now that I know that Tarantino has a foot fetish, I can never unsee it. This was quite heavy though, damn

Last last note, casting directors need to stop booking Lena Dunham, she's everything that is wrong with feminism and I don't see how she could ever be irreplaceable. Get rid of her already.
