The only thing my father gave me that was of any value is pain. And you want to take that away?

This film went in on dealing with an abusive relationship between father and son and the wounds such toxic dynamic can leave in one's mind. Even though the wounds may be healed through time, it is by finding the right mindset and surroundings that someone can truly accept the scars that are left and move past them with the hope of better days to come. Honey Boy is sadly undervalued for the message of personal growth and character journey it conveys and that in its core is so moving and fantasticly portrayed by its talented cast.
