What an insane experience... that I enjoyed? Meta and stylistic and unforgiving. The film is relatively short, but it felt more like a two and a half hour commitment, but in a good way. It was a torturous night that you felt apart of, because of the realism conveyed by the great performances and clever writing.

I'll definitely be checking out more of these combos on The Criterion Channel. It was super fun.

A Wes Anderson-like short film with some really fun stop motion animation.

People aren't born monsters, the world makes them that way. Believe what you want, but in the end, that's what I took away from this one.

Some of the best digital cinematography I've ever seen. It's possibly the best looking movie of the year too and I wish more people were talking about that. I do understand though why Joaquin Phoenix is what everyone is discussing, because he was extraordinary, and that was no surprise.

Is it getting crazier out there?

    I really liked it.

It's no Interstellar of course, but I was genuinely invested in this space flick overall. I surely enjoyed it more than other recent films of the same kind, like Gravity and First Man. I'm very happy this is getting some attention.

The first two acts of the movie are phenomenal, I thought, and even though the third didn't feel as spectacular or original, it couldn't take away from my interest at that point. I've never seen…
