There is a Brexit angle in here??? Ah, yes, Last Christmas, finally the movie to end Brexit.
I liked that the film addresses things like homelessness and loneliness. I also found Emilia Clarke to be very charming. It is however very messy because of several subplots. Most of the jokes fall flat, the George Michael music never feels impactful, has the opposite effect of Mamma Mia 2. Visually, it mostly looks like conventional tv cinematography. I still kind of liked it despite the flaws, mostly because there is a redemption arc and I like seeing people make themselves better. Though, the film would be better if it focused on the central story more.
Henry Golding does a James Bond impersonation during a scene and now I want him to be the next Bond.
