Much like John William's score, this movie is unoriginal, repetitive, and cobbled together from spare parts of other Star Wars movies.
I just could *not* connect with this movie. Is it because I'm not a parent? Too old and have forgotten what growing up was like and so can't relate to the central premise? Or is it -- I strongly suspect -- that it's because I'm female, and cannot connect to a movie that is about the title: BOYHOOD? I don't know. All I do know is that it made me very sad not to experience the movie that has inspired so many rhapsodic reviews this summer.
