    It Chapter Two

If It: Chapter 2Β is anything, itΒ is ambitious. ItΒ is a nearly 3 hour movie that wastes none of it on small moments. The scares are grand, elaborate, and also a huge downgrade from the first installment.

There’s plenty to love about this film. The actors do a great job of emulating the chemistry of the child actors. Bill Hader genuinely gives one of the best performances of the year. The production design, visual effects, and makeup are all stellar. Benjamin Wallfisch…

    The Lion King

This is the most hopeless I have felt about the future of cinema since Green BookΒ won Best Picture.

Look, if you were excited about The Lion King, that’s fine, because I was too. I thought The Jungle BookΒ was a fantastic remake and I absolutely adore the cast of this film. And, as expected, the visuals are very impressive and the cast is great, but even that comes with baggage.Β

    The Lobster

Yes, I do like to watch movies that make me think, especially about the dynamics of modern relationships.

I just want to enjoy it, like at all.

    The Silence of the Lambs

Just reminiscing when The Academy would pick the best film of the year for Best Picture.

I introduced this classic to my sister and she loved it. For me, it continues to be one of the best films of the 1990’s, and an example of just how good a thriller can be.

  • Rosemary's Baby

    Rosemary's Baby

My grandmother told me today that this is her least favorite movie. I can see why but ya know.

Rosemary’s BabyΒ is something else. If you watch this casually, you’re gonna get a slow ass movie where almost nothing happens, but looking deeper you’ll find a harrowing picture about the intense anxieties of pregnancy. Mia Farrow knocks it out of the park. The direction by _____ ________ is brilliant. It’s not necessarily the best Halloween movie but it’s a damn good supernatural drama.
