We were in desperate need of a proper chase scene and Kevin Williamson gave us a movie that’s basically a long extended one. King behavior if you ask me!!
Wasn’t sure how a slasher would turn out with its premise relying heavily on Covid/the pandemic but this f*cking rules.
Kevin and Katelyns script allowed John Hyams to play with isolation and to amp up the intensity in such a fun way!
The motive isn’t as strong as I would like it to be, but it’s still pretty bizarre— maybe it’ll grow on me with a second watch?
Anyway, this turned out to be a really fun slasher with a couple of callbacks to both Scream (1996) and Friday the 13th. So for that, Kevin Williamson & co, I f*cking love you .
