Equal parts charming, empowering, and epic, this Southeast Asia-inspired adventure introduces the next great Disney warrior princess to join Mulan. This is Disney talking inspiration from Pixar, to add that one extra layer of emotional depth.
Though it did lack depth in world building, choosing instead to focus more on story progression was the right way to go. The story is about friendship, love and trust. Too make that point it went on a little to long in scenes.
The fight scenes between Raya and Namarri were good. Their faces were expressive and they both came close to actually hurting each other. This was better I thought because the fight scenes in other Disney movies like Frozen or Moana don't get as intense.
Overall it was a pretty good movie
