Well, the internet consensus was right: this is bleak as hell. It's been on my to-watch list for years, and I finally decided to press play after Oppenheimer. This $400K TV movie captures the horrors of nuclear war infinitely better than Cillian Murphy's thousand-yard stare.
Threads feels real. It makes me want to abandon my computer and learn farming.
Also, what are the odds that the only educational filmstrip that survives the apocalypse is one about skeletons? Seems a little on the nose, but it provided my single morbid laugh amidst two hours of darkness.
