    World Premiere.

I honestly don't have as much to say about this as I thought I would coming out. Nightmare Alley is a great movie with gorgeous cinematography and set designs, and a fun noir story that took a bit for me to get invested in. I think del Toro's vision is so strong here, but the narrative pulled me out a tad in the second act. However, the third act is so strong that I would go so far…

There's a lot of good here, and Scott does a really good job at balancing a lot for most of the runtime. I think he starts to lose focus in the third act due to having to rush a LOT of stuff, but I really ended up digging it. Aside from Leto being absolutely horrid, I think that this is a really good and interesting movie on a topic that I really didn't know a lot about. For that alone, it is well worth the watch, not to mention the performances of Gaga, Driver and Pachino, who are all excellent. Overall, I'm satisfied.

I've put off the fish sex movie for awhile because it seemed extremely off-putting lmao. With Nightmare Alley around the corner, there was no better time to finally suck it up and watch it and hey it honestly was really good. There's a lot of emotion here, and Sally Hawkins does so much. For such a bizarre film, del Torro really handles this thing excellently. Yay fish sex.

Oh look! A controversial movie in 2019. Who didn't see that happening?

Joker is a film about a man who is constantly being brought down by society (insert we live in a society meme) until he reinvents himself as Joker.

It's kind of wild that there was security at my theatre for this movie. After all the relentless takes and insane FBI posts about possible shootings in theatres, I needed to see this as soon as possible. Joker is something…
