Gavin’s review published on Letterboxd:
Added To Oliver Stone Ranked
This movie was so psychedelic. Its like watching the life of Jim Morrison through the eyes of someone on a lot of drugs, which makes sense because everybody is high in this movie. Val Kilmer is so good as Jim Morrison.
The music transitions well throughout and its a real fun watch.
Towards the end of the movie it seemed to drag on a little longer than it needed to, which is strange because there is 43 minutes on additional scenes taken out of the movie on the dvd.
The Doors seems to be in the middle of the road for an Oliver Stone movie. Its not bad but its not spectacular.
