As I say on the podcast, whereas the genius of Pixar or Ghibli is that they make children feel like adults, the genius of Aardman is that they make adults feel like children. There were plenty of kids in the screening I went to, but it sounded like their parents were enjoying it just as much - and so did I. Full of magnificent performances, from major stars like Tom Hiddleston, reliable character players like Timothy Spall or new-to-me names like Selina Griffiths. Nothing - nothing - you see this year will be as wonderful as that duck.
