    TIFF '18 MOVIE 3
    Film #1 of SPOOKTOBER '18

Wow. I'm blown away. Like, completely. I knew when David Gordon Green and Jason Blum were getting together to make a HALLOWEEN movie it was gonna be awesome.

But this is more than I could've ever expected.

Not only does it live up to the original and pay homage to a classic film, but at the same time creates something so fresh and so fun. The slasher genre has just received…

    TIFF '18 MOVIE 4

I can't put into words how much this movie moved me. Not just as a filmgoer, but as a filmmaker. This is the type of movie that fuels my drive to make movies. Seeing Jonah Hill & the cast so moved by the applause and cheers from the crowd was so heartwarming. These guys had truly bonded over making this film, and it showed so well. Jonah began to tear up as he got on stage and…

    Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles

    Watched on Netflix

Still goes absolutely so hard. Incredibly cheesy, but the puppet work is truly terrific and the choreography is a lot of fun. His direction is…

this has the exact same plot of an episode of Goosebumps starring Ryan Gosling and it's important to me that you know that.

update: I have now actually watched this movie, if you want to know what I actually think of it, my review is here!

    My final film of TIFF19!

    Seen at Ryerson Theatre

An absolute fucking blast. Insanely tense and yet consistently hilarious from start to finish. Absolutely crazy and fun and anxiety-inducing. Adam Sandler is fantastic. I had so much fun! Also the movie is so Jewish! So much Jewish stuff!! Yay!

The opening credits use the font Albertus, which is the same font that John Carpenter used in most of his best known movies. That plus the fantastic synth score really made…
