Horrifying beautiful, but not as disturbing as I've been led to believe sadly. The setting, the rituals, the colors; all of it was gorgeous, and for a split second, I found myself wanting a sense of community like they had here. Of course as soon as I registered that thought, goosebumps broke out on my arms and my stomach turned over. The movie does exactly what it's meant to; it makes you think and consider how different people live, how what you consider normal may not be normal to someone else, and how easily being immersed in something can change your mind.

As usual, I'm late to watching one of the most talked about movies in the last few years, but I'm glad I saw it.
