Ok, I've mostly stopped using Letterboxd (this isn't actually the first film I've watched since Solo: a Star Wars Story), but I had some assorted thoughts on this that were too spoiler-y for Twitter, so here we are. And I should warn that not only is it heavy on spoilers, but it will not be kind to the film, so feel free to skip this if you loved Endgame.

Ok, there's a lot to unpack here, and I'm not very good at this, so it's going to be a bit disjointed.
Carol is a film in which everyone is trying to do the "proper" thing, the thing which society told them to do, but none of them are getting what they expected out of it. Characters are following the rules of how one is supposed to go about their lives, in the assumption that this will lead to happiness.…
