Gentry’s review published on Letterboxd:
“She’s not crazy, she’s being chased by a cheetah!”
Opens with a made up quote about madness and infection from, I suspect, the director himself. You can see evidence of Prosperi’s work in the mondo genre with the lingering shots of carnage, cats and rats fighting to the death, hyenas ripping at the necks of pigs and an animal carcass being hacked to pieces for lion feeding time. This is definitely the sleaziest of all the psychotronic animal attack movies I’ve seen. It stars Lorraine De Salle from Cannibal Ferox, so that should give you an indication of what you’re in for. It does well in escalating the terror of rampaging animals by consecutively moving up the food chain: rats to tigers to elephants to polar bears to—I’ll keep it a surprise—the most destructive animal of them all.
