Once Upon a Time… in Hollywood

Can't help but feel we're all just settling because we're so desperate for the "lost era" of "movies like this": mid-budget movies with high, risky artistic ambitions. It doesn't seem to have occurred to Tarantino how lucky he is to essentially be the only person who still gets paid to make them.

Any other meanings are mowed down by a bloated treatise on his career, his fetishes, his music, his memories, his anxieties. I think I'm just tired of him.
