The sets are fantastic and it’s as colorful as it is corny! I’d somehow never seen the musical before but it’s so ingrained in pop culture that several of the songs were already pretty familiar to me. I don’t get why Spielberg is remaking this? The cheesiness of this version is fun because of the time in which it was made but now, I fear it’ll seem dumb and insincere.
