While it has a lot of Latino/Hispanic culture representation (mainly Mexican), it was so much fun seeing the places in Puerto Rico where this was filmed. They were like little easter eggs for Boricuas. The Kord Industries headquarters were filmed at the headquarters of the biggest Puerto Rican bank. Coincidence? I think not. The opening song of the movie establishes pretty firmly this is a movie by a Puerto Rican director.
Also having El Morro be the villain's evil lair was pretty on the nose but appreciated nevertheless.
