Bold choice for a director to make a movie whose only purpose is to take the piss out of the lead at every possible chance. Willing to sacrifice logic, drama, narrative stakes, or basically anything interesting, in the pursuit of this one mission.
Not a great movie unless you treat it like like Spiderman 3 and mentally reorient your thinking to this being a ridiculously big budget mid tier comedy movie. In which case, it's not bad.
It's no Step Brothers though.
