London Film Festival 2019 - Film #19
London Film Festival 2019 - Film #18
I want to rewatch this again already - I do think I could sit and watch Tom Hanks play anything any day of the week though.
A charming film, that doesn’t follow the straight up biopic formula to tell a truly warming and interesting story of Fred Rogers. Tom Hanks was fantastic - the scene in the restaurant with the moment of silence is something magnificent.
Held up on the second viewing. Still laughed and cried in the same places as the first time I saw it at the festival.
I think what I like the most about this film is the way it's made, and the fact that it feels very achievable to make a film like this as my own first feature.
Good uses of long takes. Jim Cummings is just fantastic.
