I. HAVE. MISSED. MIDNIGHT. SCREENINGS.
Honestly, it's been YEARS.
This movie is enjoyable. It's not complete filler, thankfully, but it does feel like it's rethreading similar ground to Homecoming, not adding much to the world, and dealing with some Endgame fallout. The performances are solid this time around, however, the script feels really thin in terms of character development, intentions, and story. The score is as forgettable as always. Action is more memorable in this film but the CG seems weaker.
It's funny, and I like how the writers incorporated aspects of previous films in the MCU to create this script. I think I've become accustomed to the Marvel magic tricks by now. It's whatever, honestly. Although, the mid-credits scene is awesome.
After Marvel Spider-Man on PS4 and Into the Spider-Verse they are simply going to need to do better.
It's mid-tier Marvel.
