frustrating & sad, but all too real — a slice of life
importantly cinematic: a knowledgable deep dive examination into how the brits working class simply is & how the welfare system navigates. stream driven by a white-hot rage, daniel blake is the common man’s hercules. one of my film class favz.
handled with the utmost care. an evenly delegated illumination of dahmer content vs. his victims + the others that were inflicted by his evil. evan peters truly curates the ‘monster’ moniker with a beastly performance. calculated, methodical, slow, & dripping in darkness. ryan murphy’s best creation since ahs s1&2.
dusty bun had that rom-com pizazz
& this shit did him so dirty.
still, what a stellar sub-version of expectation: i was genuinely shocked with how groovy this movie turned out to be. angourie rice demonstrates lead girl vibes to perfection. however, gaten’s performance was everything. cool to see stranger things actors in other roles.
