American Me is one of the great American gangster pictures and a film that never quite got it's due. Produced, directed, and starring Edward James Olmos, the film is a tour de force show of his great and under-utilized talents. It's also one of the rare gangster films that completely refuses to glamorize organized crime. Depicting a Mexican Mafia lord and his rise to power from within prison, the film eschews Coppola's nostalgic romanticization of gangsters in the Godfather films…

Zack Snyder’s Justice League might just be one of the most hyped up movies ever made. After nearly half a decade of buzz and media buildup, the film arrives on HBOMAX to a milquetoast release. It is, without a doubt, one of the most inept would-be epics Hollywood has ever released. I must say, it’s intriguing to note how Snyder has strung along his fanbase. Robin Williams was one of the Great actors. It's also probably Barry Levinson's best film. It holds up well.

A war that is still technically on-going. My War shows this devastation and it portrays the battle scenes in a vivid way. It also has a nice feel that is reminiscent of an Old Hollywood war picture, like a Sergeant York or a Flying Tigers. It's not perfect but I was entertained…

In this movie, Iron Man bangs Spider-Man. A historic achievement for the MCU.

A major disappointment. I was a huge Edgar Wright fan. I loved all his prior work. But I can't abide this film. It feels like Nickelodeon tried to make a Michael Mann movie with all the problematic-ness that that entails. It feels like a film made by people who drive on the right side of the road when they play GTA. Everything is so pompous and phony and safe with the story being completely divorced from any kind of reality.…
