So... incredibly... boring... And the story’s not put together too well, so I guess that doesn’t help much. Things took too long to get interesting. I kept mixing up all the girls because none of them were remotely memorable, which in turn messed up the ending for me because I was totally confused. The moment when all the water-based clues FINALLY click is laughable. (/looks at river, looks at water bottle, looks at river again... flashback!) Some points for atmosphere and that Early 2000s K-Horror Feel (you know the one) - but overall? Such a lackluster vengeful female ghost movie.
An absolutely wonderful breath of fresh air as far as Tim Burton's films are concerned. It might not be Ed Wood, but it still proves to be an intriguing enough biopic. Where the pacing and script sometimes falter, the great performances by the cast as well as the gorgeous aesthetics definitely pick up the slack.
