Even if it stumbles in the bridge towards final act, fuck me was this enjoyable! I haven't had this much fun with a romantic comedy since I don't know when. It's so surefooted, tightly paced, perfectly acted, a highly glossy and saturated victorian locomotive that feels utterly unstoppable. When shit got funny, I laughed. When the chips began tumbling, I rolled and fell with them. When it demanded my compassion, my heart jumped out of my chest and readied itself for the taking. Such a shame the quarantine stopped me from seeing it on the big screen, really...
