watching The Dungeonmaster aka Ragewar is like going to a 1984 shlock movie all you can eat buffet. the basic premise is that a nerdy computer programmer gets hand picked by SATAN to compete in a series of challenges so nerdy guy can eventually rescue his girlfriend. each of these evil challenges is made by a different director and they include a Mad Max homage, a set in modern times slasher tale, stop motion creatures, puppets, zombies, and best of all a performance from the legendary metal band W.A.S.P! and the whole thing is just barely over an hour long!
the constantly changing format and tone makes for a very briskly paced affair and no story ever really wears out it's welcome. Ragewar/Dungeonmaster is by no means a great movie but if it doesn't make you smile a little then you may not have a soul. And you have Richard Moll as a cackling Satan wearing a Dracula cape. and W.A.S.P. really you can't go wrong.
