This review may contain spoilers. I can handle the truth.
Imagine the book, except without any nuance, symbolism, intrigue, emotion, or craft. That's what this movie is: A hollow shell the survives solely on the plot of the book. It even botches that in spots, especially when SOHRAB DOESN'T ATTEMPT SUICIDE.
I was bored for most of the film (I might have just been tired) and I was not attracted to any of the performance.
I haven't said "the book is better than the movie" in a really long time. I was shouting it from the rooftops today.
