JURASSIC WORLD 2: “This time, it’s literal.”
CINEMA PARADISO is so genuine in every little thing that it does, and simple presents the life of a kid who loves film and in doing so shows the creator’s own love of film.
Also, there’s so much kissing in this movie and it means so much and I love it.
Very solid A-, might go up to an A with time, and is more likely to do so than the last A- I watched, SOME LIKE IT HOT.
My jaw’s on the floor right now. John Krasinski has delivered a masterpiece. Everything about this movie is, I think, perfect. I love the world that this takes place in— it’s basically IT COMES AT NIGHT but with a tangible threat and visceral, emotional stakes. Every performance is subtle and adds to the emotional impact, but Emily Blunt especially.... wow.
