    Everything Everywhere All at Once

Watched this via A24 Screening Room, which was an excellent experience and I would recommend to fellow fans.

I have been looking forward to Everything Everywhere All at Once since its initial screenings, and it looked great from the trailers. I never had a good opportunity to check the movie out during its theatrical run, as the closest theater showing it was a significant distance away. Luckily, I was happy with the movie that has getting so much hype, although…

    Crimes of the Future

As a Cronenberg fan, I was eagerly awaiting the release of his newest release. Crimes of the Future is a really strange movie. I will get that out of the way early on. There are going to be many people not like this movie, and his style may just not be for you. It's definitely possible, especially since it's been a while since a lot of newer movie fans have seen one of his theatrical releases.

    The movie opens up,…

Prey is an all around awesome experience, one that I do wish would have gotten a theatrical release as well. I think this would be a great time on the big screen with the excellent atmosphere and unique take on the Predator formula. It feels like the fresh take on the formula the series needed.

Plenty of things to admire about this one. I think the setting fits perfectly here and allows the Predator to thrive and go back to…

    Not Okay

An interesting take on the themes at play here. It mostly plays out as you would expect given the premise, as there are a good few movies with similar thematic undertones. It offers a bit more substance than most, mostly thanks to a great lead performance and some great stylistic choices that really help the movie be a cut above the rest of them.

It's interesting throughout, and I never really lost interest. It plays on the "second-hand" embarrassment thing…

    Child's Play

For those that know me, they know that Child’s Play holds one of the most special places in my heart. In many ways my terror towards the doll Chucky got me into horror, and facing my fears of dolls in general. The entire franchise I have watched many times over, and I still do fairly often when I am wanting some nice entertaining killer doll movies. I was still excited though about the idea of this movie. I will not…

  • Midsommar

I will certainly have to second to Steven Francis in saying that the movie is certainly hard to rate. There are a lot of different reasons for that which I will get into, but my overall thoughts about the movie is that I liked it. I didn't love it in all honesty, but I had a good time and will likely be picking this one up when it comes out.

Firstly the movie's technical elements are very strong. The cinematography…
