This movie is a lot more fun than it is scary, which is kind of a problem. There’s jump scares for sure, but not much is really all that unsettling. If you are a fan of the Conjuring movies that I think you might like this movie as long as you go in not expecting something on the level of the first two Conjuring films. There is also quite a lot of unintentional humor in this movie that is great.…

After watching Taika Watiti’s career skyrocket with Thor Ragnarok it was nice to go back and see one of his more grounded film. I’m not used to seeing Taika play am I likable character but he did a great job at playing one that actually had some depth. He had a reason to act the way he does and you symphasize with him even though you can’t condone his actions. In fact, all of the characters are well written and…

I’ve only seen two Stanley Kubrick films and I’ve given them both 5 stars. I need to watch every film this man has ever made as soon as possible.

Can we just admire the fact that Netflix announced and released an anticipated movie in the span of 3 hours? It astounds me how that is even possible in today’s world. As for the actual movie, I enjoyed it. It was probably the worst of the 3 but it was still loads of fun. I’m glad they put it on Netflix because I would have probably been disappointed if I had time to get hype and go to the theater…

Great scary movie. Doesn't just rely on jump scares but creates a creepy atmosphere. All the child actors were great, specifically Richie who was hilarious. I like how it doesn't shy away from showing violence towards kids like at the beginning with Richie. The only problem was a couple of the kids didn't get too much characterization specifically the black kid.
